The Financial Services tax group of this Big 4 Firm are looking to recruit a Manager to join the Banking team.
With excellent relationships established with a number of major clients, you will be joining one of the market leaders for provision of tax services to the financial services industry.
The sector includes some of the largest global corporate organisations in the world and as such, the opportunities available are a mixture of the usual complex problems facing all large multinational/large domestic corporations plus the intellectual and technical challenges of working on the specialist roles applicable to the Financial Services Groups.
The sector includes all forms of banking; retail, commercial, investment, private and custody banking, as well as dealers, brokers and exchanges.
You will be advising not only some of the biggest UK based banks but also many of the worlds largest outfits operating in the UK, in particular through their London branches.
The team includes many industry acknowledged experts in their field in both the UK and on a global basis, so you will be working in a stimulating, high calibre team offering you the chance to challenge yourself and develop your skills set to new levels.
A sample of the work you will undertake includes:
- Audit and compliance services to proprietary trade structures.
- International structuring.
- Providing advice on acquisitions and disposals and providing advice on distressed debt.
Ideal candidate skills/experience:
- UK Corporate Tax Advisory experience, ideally gained within a Bank or Big 4 firm.
- ACA / CTA / Law Qualified or equivalent qualification.
- Experience of advising a range of clients, preferably gained within a large professional services firm.
- The role does not require prior banking capital markets expertise, although this would be beneficial.
- An enthusiasm and dedication to working in the banking capital markets industry.

- Providing bespoke corporate tax advice to a variety of large and independent clients in this sector.
- Developing your relationships with key clients across this sector as well as internally with colleagues from other areas of the firm.
