The team of this mid-tier practice is a market leader in the provision of UK and US tax compliance and advisory services. Working with organisations it provides cross-border tax planning for seconded employees, including income tax planning, capital gains and estate tax in both jurisdictions.
The overall responsibility will be to manage a portfolio of clients, delivering quality compliance and advisory services to both clients and Partners and identifying opportunities to cross sell the firm’s services
Key elements of the role:
- Act as account manager for a portfolio of expatriate tax clients within the Expat Team.
- Assist in the development of the firm’s expatriate practice, by assisting in presentations to potential clients, at seminars and one off interviews.
- Provide technical guidance to staff and to resolve major technical problems when instructed by clients.
- Recognise opportunities for cross-selling of services and “adding value”.
- Act as mentor to more junior members of the team and assist in their training and development.
- Keep up to date with technical developments of tax law in the US and in the UK.
Requirements:
- Comprehensive UK and US personal tax knowledge including an understanding of the interaction between the tax law of both jurisdictions.
- Demonstrated application of management skills, including formal or informal coaching and mentoring experience
- Any of the following preferred: ATT / ACA / CA / CTA (or breadth of knowledge equivalent to CTA) / IR Enrolled Agent
